The Senior Engineer – Telecommunication Systems will be responsible for the design, development, integration, testing, deployment, and maintenance of advanced communication systems for Defence, Aerospace, Homeland Security, and Strategic Electronics applications. The role requires strong technical expertise in RF technologies, communication networks, embedded communication interfaces, and system integration, while collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable, high-performance solutions.
Eligibility
- M.Tech in Telecommunication Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering (ECE), Electronics Engineering, Electrical & Electronics Engineering (EEE), or related disciplines.
- Experience in communication system design, testing, integration, and deployment.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills.
Preferred Skills
- Strong knowledge of RF communication systems, wireless communication, microwave communication, satellite communication, and optical fiber technologies.
- Hands-on experience with communication protocols such as UART, SPI, I2C, CAN, RS-232/RS-485, Ethernet, TCP/IP, UDP, and serial communication.
- Experience using oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, vector network analyzers, signal generators, protocol analyzers, and RF test equipment.
- Knowledge of embedded communication interfaces, networking technologies, and industrial communication standards.
- Familiarity with Defence, Aerospace, or Strategic Electronics communication systems is preferred.
- Understanding of EMI/EMC standards, quality management systems, and regulatory compliance.
- Experience with technical documentation, root cause analysis, and engineering change management.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, integrate, and validate communication systems for Defence, Aerospace, Homeland Security, and Strategic Electronics applications.
- Lead the installation, configuration, testing, commissioning, and maintenance of RF, wireless, and wired communication systems.
- Perform system integration, verification, troubleshooting, and performance optimization of communication equipment.
- Develop and validate communication interfaces, networking architectures, and embedded communication protocols.
- Analyze communication system performance and resolve hardware, firmware, and network-related issues.
- Review communication schematics, interface diagrams, system architecture, and technical documentation.
- Coordinate with design, production, quality assurance, procurement, and customer support teams throughout the product lifecycle.
- Prepare technical specifications, design documents, validation reports, user manuals, and maintenance documentation.
- Ensure compliance with defence, aerospace, industry, and quality standards during design and manufacturing.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance during development, testing, and deployment activities.
- Support customer acceptance testing, field trials, and post-deployment technical support.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product reliability, performance, and manufacturing efficiency.
