Key Responsibilities:

• Operate and monitor CNC machines (Gear Hobbing, Gear Shaping, Gear Grinding, Turning/Milling centers) as per production schedules
• Set up machines, load programs, and make minor offset/tool adjustments to maintain dimensional accuracy
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, and gear specifications (module, pitch, pressure angle, backlash, etc.)
• Perform in-process inspection using micrometers, vernier calipers, gear tooth calipers, and other precision measuring instruments
• Ensure adherence to production targets, quality standards, and cycle times
• Conduct routine machine maintenance checks (coolant levels, tool wear, lubrication) and report breakdowns promptly
• Maintain production logs, inspection reports, and material traceability records
• Follow safety protocols and 5S/housekeeping standards on the shop floor
• Coordinate with quality and maintenance teams to minimize downtime and rejections

Required Skills:

• Hands-on experience with CNC controllers (Fanuc / Siemens / Heidenhain)
• Working knowledge of gear manufacturing processes (hobbing, shaping, shaving, grinding)
• Ability to read technical drawings and gear charts
• Basic understanding of G-codes/M-codes (program editing at operator level)
• Familiarity with precision measuring instruments and quality checks
