Fabrication Fitters: Shortlisting Criterion

education/ professional trainingITI fabrication fitter course+NCTVT preferred.

Should possess the following:-

1 knowledge about general safety at workplace, welding safety, welding radiations,  electrical hazards,   related to fabrication.

2 knowledge of allowable tolerances, heat correction.

3 basic drawing reading skills & basic tape measurement skills

4 prior experience in either  boiler/ pressure vessels or heavy/medium fabrication /plant equipment fabrication manufacturing industry.

5 knowledge of  basic press work,small power tools operation

6 knowledge of level checking by water level & optical instrument,alignment & ovality checking.

7 able to do required  material handling for his job.

8 able to do good quality tack & fillet welding in 1G position.

9 knowledge of profile grinding, leak test, hydrotest, DPT.
