Job Summary :

Job Overview : We are looking for an energetic and detail-oriented Fitter Technician to join our manufacturing team. In this entry-level role, you will assist senior fitters and fabricators in assembling, aligning, and installing structural parts, storage lockers, and high-pressure piping systems for specialized fire-fighting vehicles.


Technical & Personal Skills:

    • Basic understanding of engineering drawings and common measuring instruments.

    • Familiarity with basic hand and power tools (e.g., angle grinders, drilling machines, hand saws).

    • Strong willingness to learn specialized firefighting vehicle systems (pumps, PTOs, tank fitments).

    • Ability to follow instructions carefully and work well within a team.



Key Responsibilities

  • Assisting in Fabrication & Assembly:

    • Learn to read basic engineering drawings, blueprints, and measurement layouts.

    • Assist senior team members in marking, cutting, grinding, and shaping steel and aluminum sheets, pipes, and channels.

    • Help set up and hold components in place for tack welding and final assembly.

  • Piping & Component Fitting:

    • Assist in laying out and assembling water/foam piping lines, valves, and couplings.

    • Help mount basic fire-fighting equipment, such as hose reels, lockers, and ladders, onto the vehicle superstructure.

  • Material Preparation & Maintenance:

    • Prepare raw materials (degreasing, deburring, and smoothing edges) before assembly begins.

    • Maintain, clean, and safely handle workshop hand tools, power tools, and machinery.

  • Quality Checking & Testing:

    • Use basic measuring tools like tape measures and vernier calipers to ensure parts meet specified dimensions.

    • Assist the testing team during hydrostatic pressure tests of water tanks and pipelines to check for leaks.
