Key Responsibilities

• Operate industrial or domestic sewing machines to stitch garments, upholstery, bags, or other textile products.

• Read and understand production specifications, patterns, and work orders.

• Set up sewing machines with correct thread, needles, and attachments.

• Perform stitching, hemming, seaming, overlocking, piping, and finishing operations.

• Inspect fabric and finished products for defects, measurements, and quality standards.

• Maintain consistent production speed while ensuring accuracy and quality.

• Repair minor stitching defects or rework damaged pieces when required.

• Handle cutting, trimming, and folding of materials during production.

• Follow workplace safety procedures and equipment handling guidelines.

• Conduct routine machine cleaning and basic maintenance.

• Coordinate with supervisors, quality inspectors, and production teams to meet daily targets.

• Keep workstations organized and maintain proper inventory of threads, needles, and materials.
