Job Summary
We are looking for a Line Engineer to manage and support day-to-day operations of the production line, ensuring smooth running of processes, achieving production targets, maintaining quality standards, and minimizing downtime. The role focuses on productivity, process control, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement on the assigned production line.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and control daily production line operations to meet output targets.
- Ensure smooth functioning of machines and equipment on the production line.
- Supervise line setup, changeovers, and process parameters.
- Troubleshoot line issues and coordinate with maintenance for quick resolution.
- Monitor manpower deployment and line balancing for optimum productivity.
- Ensure product quality as per specifications and standards.
- Reduce rejection, rework, and process losses.
- Implement and sustain 5S, Kaizen, Lean, and continuous improvement activities.
- Track line efficiency, cycle time, downtime, and OEE performance.
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Support root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions for production issues.
- Maintain daily production records and line performance reports.
- Train operators and support development of shop-floor personnel.
Required Qualifications
- Diploma / B.Tech / BE in Mechanical, Production, Industrial, Electrical, or related engineering field.
- 1–4 years of experience in production line operations (Freshers can be considered for junior roles).
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes and production line management.
- Understanding of line balancing, productivity improvement, and quality control tools.
- Basic knowledge of TPM, Lean Manufacturing, and problem-solving techniques.
Preferred Skills
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
- Knowledge of OEE monitoring and process optimization.
- Good communication and team coordination abilities.
- Experience in assembly/manufacturing/automotive line operations preferred.
