Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Microbiologist to join a cutting-edge AI-driven research project 🚀 In this fully remote, contract-based role, you will apply your expertise in microbial sciences to study microorganisms and contribute to the development of advanced AI models in biology. Your work will help bridge scientific research with artificial intelligence, enabling more accurate and impactful insights across medical and environmental domains 🌍

Key Responsibilities:
🔬 Investigate the growth, morphology, and behavior of microorganisms including bacteria, fungi, and algae
🧫 Analyze relationships between microorganisms and diseases, supporting medical microbiology research
💊 Evaluate the effects of antibiotics and other agents on microbial populations
📊 Document experimental findings clearly for AI training and data integration
🤝 Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure scientific rigor and data quality
📝 Provide expert insights on microbiological concepts for both technical and non-technical audiences
📚 Use evaluation frameworks and rubrics to assess data quality and support AI workflows

Required Qualifications:
✔️ Bachelor’s degree or higher in Biology, Microbiology, Chemistry, or a related field
✔️ Strong knowledge of bacterial, fungal, and algal systems
✔️ Expertise in microbial structure, physiology, and behavior
✔️ Excellent written and verbal communication skills
✔️ Ability to document scientific processes clearly for AI integration
✔️ Comfortable working independently in a remote environment
✔️ High attention to detail and commitment to scientific accuracy

Technical Skills:
🧪 Hands-on experience with microbiological techniques and laboratory workflows
🦠 Knowledge of microbial growth analysis, culturing, and identification methods
📊 Data analysis and interpretation of microbiological datasets
🤖 Familiarity with AI, machine learning, or biological data annotation (preferred)
📝 Experience using rubrics or evaluation systems in scientific workflows (a plus)

Additional Requirements:
🌍 Ability to work effectively in a fully remote, project-based setup
⏳ Strong time management and ability to meet deadlines independently
🎓 Master’s or PhD in Microbiology or related field is an advantage
💰 Salary: $40 – $60 per hour (approximately ₹3,300 – ₹5,000/hour, paid in Indian currency based on current exchange rates). Salary in hand will be calculated on an hourly basis, and this is a purely project-based role.
