Purpose of Role:

This Team will be responsible to produce and submit BFC reporting and disclosures as per IFRS and global group reporting instructions for various Diageo entities. The overarching aim is to provide accurate reporting by the team and the narrative behind figures. Key to success is continuing to build on our partnerships within Finance and with multiple stakeholders.

. Manage and accountable for the BFC financial reporting packs for Diageo entities and ensure balance sheet accounts reconciliations and GLAT management.

. Accountable for ensuring compliance with group reporting policies and procedures.

Role Responsibilities-

. Understand the various business movements and provide business insights for such moves to the teams and work with Finance colleagues to review and improve controls around the submitted numbers.

. Participate in the relevant Group Finance calls to ensure smooth execution of the process.

. Key interface between FC community and the Financial reporting team.

. Support internal / external audit.

. ensure balance sheet accounts reconciliations and GLAT management.

. Work with key stakeholders in Finance team, business and regulatory affairs and support projects and relevant updates to the database as a result of regulatory initiatives/ changes.

. Ensure smooth month end close as per global group reporting guidelines.

. Ensure compliance and adherence with all the relevant CARM controls applicable to the financial reporting team.

. Drive continuous improvement and automation agenda to improve service efficiency and maximise customer satisfaction

. Measure KPI's and Data Quality.

. Ensure high engagement - Train, coach, motivate and develop skills of the team.

Experience / skills required -

Operation Management

A good understanding of the Reporting Framework and Product, Risk and regulatory drivers of the businesses is preferred.

- Strong presentation skills, networking and communication skills (verbal and written)

- Advanced skills in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc)

- Working knowledge in a proprietary tool such as SAP, BFC, Power BI is preferred.

Other Work Experience

. Has deep understanding of the group financial reporting, accounting concepts, BS reconciliations, month close process, various RtR functions in order to ensure integrational thinking across the teams.

. Be able to work in a deadline driven environment.

. Excellent time management and influencing skills.

. Excellent communication skills in English

. Degree in Finance. Professionally qualified like CA/ CMA/CPA

. Excellent business partnering and stakeholder management skills

. Ability to communicate complex accounting ideas simply to a business audience and identify accounting implications of business issues.

. Superior analytical and problem solving skills

. Strong understanding of risk and controls

. Strong organizational skills and ability to work independently and set own agenda

. Personal ownership for issue resolution
