Electrical Testing & Commissioning Engineer
Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Electrical Testing & Commissioning Engineer to join our technical services team. You will be responsible for the end-to-end installation, testing, and maintenance of electrical systems, ensuring all equipment meets industry standards and client specifications. The ideal candidate possesses strong hands-on experience with high-profile equipment manufacturers and a deep understanding of power distribution systems.
Key Responsibilities
Installation & Commissioning:
Oversee site installation and commissioning of electrical infrastructure, focusing on LV/MV panels and switchgear.
Execute HT/LT cable work, including laying, termination, and insulation resistance testing.
Conduct comprehensive panel testing (functional, wiring, and continuity) before and after onsite integration.
Maintenance & Troubleshooting:
Perform routine electrical maintenance and rapid troubleshooting to minimize downtime in industrial or commercial environments.
Provide expert site service for power systems, identifying faults in complex circuitry and implementing sustainable repairs.
Technical Operations:
Apply basic relay knowledge to configure, test, and calibrate protection relays to ensure system safety.
Work extensively with equipment from Tier-1 manufacturers, specifically Siemens, Crompton, ABB, and Schneider Electric.
Documentation & Reporting:
Utilize MS Excel to maintain accurate commissioning reports, maintenance logs, and asset tracking data.
Draft technical service reports and "As-Built" documentation for client handover.
