Hardware Intern

Company:  Modular Furniture / Furniture Manufacturing Company

Location:  Hyderabad (or as per company requirement)

Job Summary:

We are looking for a Hardware Intern with minimum 6 months to 1 Year experience in modular furniture or interior projects. The candidate will be responsible for preparing hardware quotations, assisting in hardware selection, coordinating with vendors, and supporting production and project teams.

Experience Required:

·         Minimum 6 months experience in furniture hardware handling.

·         Experience in modular kitchen / wardrobe projects.

·         Experience in hardware quotation preparation.

·         Interior project hardware costing experience preferred.

Educational Qualification:

·         Diploma / B Tech / Mechanical background preferred.

·         Any relevant technical qualification.

Key Responsibilities:

·         Prepare hardware quotations based on project drawings and BOQ.

·         Calculate hardware quantities for modular kitchen, wardrobes, and interior works.

·         Coordinate with procurement team for pricing and vendor quotations.

·         Compare vendor rates and prepare cost sheets.

·         Maintain hardware costing database.

·         Assist in hardware selection as per project requirements.

·         Support production and site teams regarding hardware specifications.

·         Maintain hardware stock and tracking records.

·         Ensure accuracy in quantity calculation and pricing.

Required Skills:

·         Strong knowledge of furniture hardware components (hinges, channels, drawer systems, handles, locks, sliding fittings).

·         Ability to read drawings and understand BOQ.

·         Good knowledge of MS Excel (formulas and cost calculations).

·         Basic understanding of modular furniture manufacturing.

·         Good communication and coordination skills.

Preferred Knowledge (Added Advantage):

·         Knowledge of Hettich, Ebco, Hafele, Grass brands.

·         Experience in interior project costing.

·         Exposure to ERP or billing software.

Employment Details:

·         Experience: 6 months mandatory.
