We are looking for a Systems Engineer with 1-3 years of experience in edge or infrastructure roles. The candidate should have good knowledge of Linux, networking (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN), and device performance testing. They should be comfortable with troubleshooting, running benchmarks, and documenting results clearly. Basic scripting (Shell/Python) and monitoring tools knowledge is a plus.
Roles and responsibilities:
Deploy, configure, and maintain edge devices in diverse environments, ensuring they meet performance and operational requirements.
Design and execute benchmark suites for edge devices across CPU/GPU/NPU, memory, storage, and sustained load performance.
Compare devices/configurations and publish clear benchmark reports with recommendations (best device, best settings, limits).
Create repeatable test checklists and simple automation to ensure results are consistent across sites.
Conduct routine system upgrades, firmware updates, and maintenance to enhance security and functionality.
Perform system and network troubleshooting to identify and resolve hardware, software, or connectivity issues.
Skills Required:
1-3 years of relevant experience in systems engineering, edge computing, or infrastructure roles.
Strong understanding of how device performance is measured and validated in the real world.
Comfortable running structured tests, analyzing results, and documenting findings clearly.
Proficiency in Linux-based systems administration, networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP), and VPN technologies.
Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to document processes and findings.
Basic scripting skills (e.g., shell scripts, Python) is a plus.
Experience with logging and monitoring tools (e.g., Grafana,etc) is a plus.
