Role Summary
The Marketing Head will be responsible for defining and executing the company’s overall marketing strategy to strengthen brand presence, drive product demand, and support sustainable sales growth. This leadership role involves managing product marketing, dealer and rural marketing initiatives, promotional campaigns, digital marketing, and market intelligence for agricultural machinery and implements.
Key Responsibilities
1. Marketing Strategy & Planning
Develop and execute short-term and long-term marketing strategies aligned with business goals.
Prepare annual marketing plans, calendars, and budgets by product and region.
Identify growth opportunities in existing and new domestic markets.
Align marketing initiatives with sales targets and seasonal agricultural cycles.
2. Brand Management & Positioning
Strengthen brand identity across rural and semi-urban markets.
Ensure consistent brand messaging across all communication platforms.
Monitor brand perception and implement corrective actions when required.
Drive brand differentiation against competitors in the agri-equipment segment.
3. Product Marketing & Launch Management
Plan and execute launches for new and upgraded agricultural implements.
Develop product communication materials, brochures, presentations, and technical literature.
Coordinate with Production and R&D teams for product positioning and knowledge.
Train sales and dealer teams on product USPs and competitive advantages.
4. Dealer & Channel Marketing Support
Design and implement dealer-centric marketing programs to boost visibility and sales.
Support dealers with local promotions, branding, signage, and merchandising.
Organize dealer meets, distributor conferences, and incentive programs.
Ensure effective rollout of schemes and promotional offers at the dealer level.
5. Rural Marketing & Field Activities
Organize farmer meets, product demonstrations, roadshows, and field days.
Participate in agricultural exhibitions, fairs, and trade shows.
Plan region-specific marketing activities based on crop patterns and seasons.
Strengthen farmer engagement through direct and indirect marketing initiatives.
6. Digital & Communication Marketing
Lead digital marketing initiatives including website, social media, and online campaigns.
Oversee content creation for posts, videos, reels, and promotional creatives.
Monitor digital campaign performance, lead generation, and engagement metrics.
Enhance online brand presence among farmers, dealers, and channel partners.
7. Market Research & Competitive Analysis
Conduct market surveys to understand customer needs and buying behavior.
Track competitor pricing, schemes, promotions, and new product launches.
Analyze sales data and market feedback to refine marketing strategies.
Share actionable market intelligence with management and sales teams.
8. Budget Management & MIS Reporting
Plan, monitor, and control the marketing budget effectively.
Ensure cost-effective execution and ROI-driven campaigns.
Prepare MIS, campaign performance reports, and analytical insights.
Present recommendations to senior management.
9. Agency & Vendor Management
Manage advertising agencies, digital partners, printers, and event vendors.
Ensure timely delivery of marketing materials and campaigns.
Maintain brand consistency and quality standards.
Negotiate costs and ensure value optimization.
10. Cross-Functional Coordination
Work closely with Sales, Production, Finance, and HR teams.
Align marketing campaigns with sales promotions and product availability.
Support corporate communication and employer branding initiatives when required.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field (MBA preferred).
8+ years of marketing experience, preferably in agricultural machinery, automobile, or manufacturing sectors.
Strong expertise in rural, dealer-based, and B2B marketing.
Proven experience in brand building, product marketing, and campaign execution.
Hands-on knowledge of digital marketing and analytics tools.
Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
