The Business Development Officer will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, expanding the customer base, and driving sales growth within the jewellery market. The role involves building strong relationships with retailers, wholesalers, designers, and key clients while promoting the company’s jewellery products and brand.
Key Responsibilities
· Identify and develop new business opportunities in domestic and international jewellery markets
· Build and maintain strong relationships with retailers, distributors, and wholesale clients
· Promote jewellery collections to potential clients through meetings, presentations, and exhibitions
· Achieve sales targets and contribute to revenue growth
· Conduct market research to understand customer trends, competitor activities, and pricing strategies
· Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with clients while maintaining profitability
· Coordinate with design, production, and marketing teams to meet client requirements
· Participate in trade shows, exhibitions, and industry events
· Prepare sales reports, forecasts, and client feedback for management
· Ensure excellent customer service and long-term client retention
Required Skills & Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, or a related field
· 2–5 years of experience in business development or sales, preferably in the jewellery, luxury, or fashion industry
· Strong understanding of jewellery products (gold, diamond, gemstones, manufacturing processes)
· Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
· Ability to build and maintain professional relationships
· Strong analytical and market research skills
· Willingness to travel as required
· Proficiency in MS Office / CRM tools
Preferred Skills
· Experience working with jewellery retailers or export markets
· Knowledge of jewellery certifications, quality standards, and pricing structures
· Familiarity with luxury brand positioning and customer expectations
