Key responsibilities

• Feasibility studies and site assessment: 

  Evaluate the viability of new mining projects and assess risks associated with new sites. 

• Mine design: 

  Develop detailed plans for mine layouts, including ventilation, infrastructure, and extraction methods, using specialized software. 

• Project management: 

  Oversee mining operations from start to finish, managing budgets, schedules, and resources. 

• Safety and environmental compliance: 

  Implement and enforce health and safety regulations, conduct risk assessments, and develop strategies for waste management and land reclamation. 

• Production and optimization: 

  Monitor and optimize extraction processes to ensure efficiency and meet production targets. 

• Collaboration and supervision: 

  Work with other professionals like geologists and construction staff, supervise teams, and prepare technical reports. 

• Data analysis: 

  Collect and analyze data to inform decision-making and monitor performance.
