Job Title
Electronics / Control Panel Wiring Fitter
About the Role
We’re looking for a hands-on panel wiring fitter to build, wire, and test electrical/electronic
control panels (PLC/VFD/MCC/Instrumentation) from drawings and BOMs. You’ll lay out
components, route and terminate wiring, and support FAT/SAT with our engineering team to
deliver safe, neat, standards-compliant panels.
Key Responsibilities
Read and interpret GA drawings, single-line diagrams, wiring schematics, IO lists,
and cable schedules.
Mechanical build: mount DIN rails, trunking/ducts, cable glands, terminal blocks,
breakers, contactors, relays, PLCs, VFDs, SMPS, indicators, etc.
Wire routing & termination: cut/strip/crimp/ferrule, wire numbering, cable lacing/tying,
dressing to panel aesthetics and bend-radius practices.
Instrumentation wiring: 4–20 mA/0–10 V loops, RTDs/thermocouples, shield/earth
practices, analog/digital IO segregation.
Power wiring: mains distribution, control power, earthing/PE bonding, VFD motor
connections with proper EMC practices.
Quality checks: continuity, polarity, insulation resistance (megger), hipot as
applicable; point-to-point and IO loop checks.
Support testing: power-up, PLC IO checkout, interlock verification, FAT
documentation; assist commissioning/SAT at site if needed.
Rework & documentation: mark red-line changes, build “as-built” drawings, update
wire lists and panel layouts.
Housekeeping & 5S: maintain tools, consumable stock, and a clean, safe
workstation.
Compliance: build to IPC/WHMA-A-620 workmanship, IS/IEC 60204-1 (machine
safety), IS/IEC 61439 (LV switchgear assemblies); follow company QMS and EHS
procedures.
Must-Have Qualifications & Experience
ITI/Diploma in Electrical/Electronics (or equivalent trade).
0–2years’ experience wiring control panels or switchboards
Proficiency with crimping/ferruling tools, multimeter, continuity tester, insulation
resistance tester; basic VFD/PLC panel familiarity.
Ability to read schematics and terminate neatly to drawings without supervision.
Solid understanding of earthing/PE, shielding/EMC, wire sizing, fuse/MCB selection
concepts.
Good-to-Have (Preferred)
Experience with PLC platforms (Siemens/Rockwell/Schneider), IO modules, and
panel networking (PROFINET/Modbus-TCP/Ethernet/IP).
VFD setup basics, control transformer wiring, interlock circuits, safety relays, estop
chains.
Familiarity with UL 508A/NFPA 79 (for export builds), CE marking documentation.
Basic panel CAD (e.g., EPLAN/AutoCAD Electrical) for mark-ups and as-builts.
Prior FAT/SAT and field commissioning exposure.
Skills & Competencies
Excellent manual dexterity and workmanship (tidy routing, labeling, bundling).
Safety-first mindset; PPE discipline and LOTO awareness.
Problem solving during build/test; clear communication with design/QA.
Time management to meet build slots and shipment dates.
Documentation accuracy (wire tags, terminal schedules, test records).
Tools & Equipment You’ll Use
Crimpers (bootlace/ferrule & lug), wire strippers, torque screwdriver/wrench, cable cutters,
label printer, multimeter, megger, hipot tester (as required), drilling/tapping tools, riveters,
gland spanners.
Physical & Work Conditions
Frequent standing, bending, and lifting up to ~20–25 kg panels/sub-assemblies.
Shop-floor environment with power tools; adherence to PPE and EHS is mandatory.
Occasional travel for site work/FAT/SAT: [Yes/No; typical duration].
KPIs / Success Measures
First-time-right build rate (% with zero rework).
On-time panel completion vs. schedule.
Electrical test pass rate (continuity/IR/hipot/IO).
Workmanship audit score (IPC/WHMA-A-620).
Documentation completeness (as-built packs, labels, test sheets).
Accomodation: Free (only for outstate candidate)
CTC : 18000- 20000
