Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Engineer – Operations & Maintenance (O&M) to join our facilities services team in Bangalore. The ideal candidate will ensure smooth operation, preventive maintenance, and overall efficiency of Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems, including PHE and HVAC. The role demands strong leadership, technical expertise, and the ability to uphold the highest standards of safety, compliance, and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
Act as the Operations & Maintenance Lead for all facility systems and equipment.
Conduct regular inspections of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems to identify and resolve issues promptly.
Respond efficiently to maintenance requests and emergencies, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on MEP systems, including PHE and HVAC, as per schedule.
Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to reduce downtime and enhance operational performance.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment inventories, and work orders in compliance with regulatory standards.
Manage and prioritize work orders, ensuring timely completion of all maintenance tasks.
Coordinate and supervise external vendors and contractors for specialized repair and maintenance services.
Allocate workload and supervise subordinates, ensuring effective task execution.
Serve as the Point of Contact (POC) for all maintenance-related activities.
Monitor utilities consumption and implement cost-saving measures.
Address employees’ and clients’ queries professionally via email, phone, or in person.
Monitor maintenance budgets and control expenses effectively.
Prepare reports and presentations with statistical data as required.
Perform any other duties assigned by management within the scope of the contract.
Required Qualifications
Educational Qualification: Diploma or Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
Experience: Minimum 8 years of proven experience in Operations & Maintenance of MEP systems (including PHE and HVAC).
Experience in facility documentation and compliance (PCB, Fire, Electrical, Lift, Municipal, etc.).
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
In-depth knowledge of regulatory requirements and safety standards in the facilities services industry.
