Job Title: Elevator Installation Technician

Qualification: ITI / Diploma in Electrical, Mechanical, or Electronics Engineering

Job Summary:

The Elevator Installation Technician will be responsible for assembling, installing, and testing elevators and escalators at project sites. The role involves reading technical drawings, ensuring compliance with safety standards, and coordinating with project engineers and clients for timely completion.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform installation and commissioning of elevators and escalators as per company standards.

• Read and interpret technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and layout plans.

• Assemble elevator components such as rails, cabins, motors, doors, and controllers.

• Conduct wiring, alignment, and load testing as per safety and performance norms.

• Coordinate with civil and electrical teams to ensure site readiness.

• Perform troubleshooting and assist in rectification of installation issues.

• Maintain installation records, reports, and documentation for each project.

• Ensure compliance with safety procedures and PPE usage at all times.

• Provide handover assistance to the maintenance or service team post-installation.

Skills and Competencies:

• Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems.

• Ability to read technical drawings and wiring diagrams.

• Understanding of safety standards and elevator regulations.

• Good teamwork and coordination skills.

• Basic knowledge of troubleshooting and testing tools.

Work Environment:

• Field-based job; requires travel to multiple installation sites.

• May involve working at heights and in confined spaces.

• Requires adherence to strict safety and quality guidelines.
