 Key Account Management

  • Client Relationship Management:

    Building and maintaining strong relationships with key clients, understanding their specific needs, and providing tailored logistics solutions. 

  • Business Development:

    Identifying opportunities for upselling and cross-selling services to existing clients, as well as supporting the sales team in acquiring new clients. 

  • Freight Forwarding Operations:

    Overseeing the entire import/export process, including coordinating with various stakeholders (carriers, customs brokers, etc.), managing documentation, and ensuring smooth customs clearance. 

  • Cost Management:

    Negotiating favorable freight rates and optimizing routing to minimize shipping costs for clients. 

  • Performance Monitoring:

    Tracking shipment progress, identifying potential issues, and proactively resolving any problems to ensure timely delivery and customer satisfaction. 

  • Market Analysis:

    Staying informed about market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments to identify potential risks and opportunities. 

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

  • Strong knowledge of air and sea freight forwarding:

    This includes understanding different modes of transportation, international shipping regulations, and customs procedures.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills:

    The ability to build rapport with clients, negotiate effectively, and communicate clearly with internal teams.

  • Proven ability to manage multiple accounts and projects simultaneously:

    Meeting deadlines, achieving targets, and prioritizing tasks effectively.

  • Proficiency in CRM software and MS Office Suite:

    Utilizing technology to manage client information, track shipments, and analyze data.

  • Experience in key account management within the freight forwarding industry:

    Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong client relationships and drive business growth.
