Position: Safety Officer
Work Location: Mumbai
Salary: ₹4 – ₹6 LPA (Annual CTC)

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and continuously improve safety policies, SOPs, and emergency response plans specific to manufacturing and logistics environments.

• Conduct regular safety audits, risk assessments, and inspections of production areas, warehouses, loading docks, and transport yards.

• Monitor the use of heavy machinery, forklifts, cranes, and other equipment to ensure safe operating practices.

• Oversee warehouse safety including material handling, storage practices, and traffic management.

• Investigate accidents, near-misses, and unsafe practices; prepare detailed incident reports and implement corrective actions.

• Train factory workers, drivers, logistics personnel, and supervisors on safety regulations, PPE usage, fire safety, ergonomics, and emergency procedures.

• Ensure compliance with local and national health & safety regulations, including OSHA/Factory Act/Transport Laws.

• Coordinate and conduct fire drills, evacuation procedures, and first aid training sessions.

• Maintain accurate safety records, inspection logs, incident reports, and training documentation.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Occupational Health & Safety, Industrial Safety, Engineering, or a related field.

• Certification in Safety (NEBOSH, IOSH, OSHA, or equivalent) is required.

• 8-10 years of proven experience in a safety role within manufacturing and/or logistics environments.

• Strong understanding of safety regulations applicable to factory operations, warehousing, and goods transportation.

• Familiarity with safety practices for handling hazardous materials, chemicals, and heavy equipment.

• Ability to lead investigations, write reports, and communicate effectively with cross-functional teams.

• Proficient in MS Office and safety management software.
