Job Role

• Loss Prevention:

  • Preventing theft and shoplifting by monitoring entrances and exits, and observing customer behavior. 
  • Conducting regular patrols of the retail areas and storage areas to deter criminal activity. 
  • Using CCTV monitoring and other security technologies to detect and prevent theft. 
  • Checking receipts or scanning items as customers leave, when necessary, to prevent unauthorized merchandise from leaving the premises. 

• Safety and Security:

  • Ensuring the safety of customers and staff by responding to emergencies, such as medical incidents or security breaches. 
  • Monitoring and controlling access to restricted areas. 
  • Conducting routine checks of security systems (e.g., alarms, cameras) to ensure they are functioning properly. 
  • Responding to alarms and investigating suspicious activities. 

• Customer Service:

  • Providing a visible presence to reassure customers and deter criminal activity. 
  • Interacting with customers and employees in a polite and professional manner. 
  • Assisting with crowd control during peak hours or special events. 

• Reporting and Documentation:

  • Preparing detailed incident reports of any security breaches or incidents. 
  • Maintaining accurate records of security logs and activity reports. 

• Passenger Screening:

  May be involved in screening passengers and luggage, potentially operating X-ray machines or metal detectors.
