A Hospital Quality Assurance Manager is responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care and adherence to regulatory standards. They develop and implement quality improvement programs, monitor performance, identify areas for improvement, and manage the quality assurance department and staff.
Quality Improvement and Standard Setting:
Develop and implement quality improvement programs:
This involves identifying areas for improvement, developing action plans, and tracking progress.
Establish and maintain quality procedures, standards, and specifications:
This includes ensuring compliance with international and national standards, like NABH (National Accreditation Board for Hospitals & Healthcare Providers).
Monitor and update policies and procedures to include regulatory changes:
Staying current with the latest regulations and incorporating them into hospital practices.
Conduct periodic assessments against quality assurance checklists/standards:
Regularly evaluating the hospital's performance against established standards.
Facilitate gap closure activities and take corrective and preventive actions:
Addressing identified weaknesses and implementing strategies to prevent recurrence.
Develop a conceptual framework for quality measurement and improvement activities:
Creating a comprehensive plan for measuring and improving quality across different areas of the hospital.
Eligibility Criteria –
