A Duty Manager at PVR INOX is responsible for overseeing the overall operations of the cinema, ensuring a seamless experience for guests while managing staff, safety, and revenue.
Key Responsibilities
1. Operations Management
Oversee the day-to-day functioning of the cinema, ensuring smooth operations across all departments (box office, concessions, housekeeping, and security).
Handle technical issues related to projection, sound, and seating arrangements.
Coordinate with different teams to ensure efficient screening schedules and customer satisfaction.
2. Customer Service & Complaint Handling
Address customer concerns, complaints, and feedback professionally.
Ensure a high level of customer service by training and guiding staff on best practices.
Manage VIP and premium service guests to enhance their movie experience.
3. Staff Supervision & Team Management
Supervise on-duty staff, ensuring punctuality, discipline, and efficiency.
Conduct briefing sessions before shifts to update employees on tasks, promotions, and safety protocols.
Assign roles and responsibilities to the team and ensure adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs).
4. Financial & Cash Handling
Oversee cash transactions at box offices and concession stands.
Ensure daily revenue collection, billing accuracy, and report any discrepancies to senior management.
Maintain stock inventory and control food and beverage wastage.
5. Safety & Compliance
Ensure compliance with fire safety, emergency evacuation protocols, and hygiene standards.
Conduct regular security checks, including surveillance monitoring and guest safety inspections.
Ensure all licenses and legal regulations (such as entertainment tax and food safety norms) are adhered to.
6. Sales & Promotions
Drive sales of food, beverages, and loyalty programs.
Implement marketing strategies to increase customer engagement and footfall.
