● Activities of daily living (Personal grooming - Teeth, hair, skin care.)
● Dressing, bathing, feeding, mouth and hair care, making beds.
● Assistance in toileting, Taking to washroom and assisting in bowel and bladder care (or) Diaper change (where applicable).
● Helping with mobility activities (Bed mobility, wheelchair mobility, and ambulation).
● Observing, reporting, and documenting patient care activities and conditions (where applicable).
● Assistance with range-of-motion exercises (NA cannot replace the duty of a physiotherapist, they can only help in mild exercises.), turning, and positioning for bedridden patients (if required).
● Providing companionship and engaging the patient with family and friends (if feasible).
● Ensuring exposure to sunlight and the outdoors (as permissible and required).
● Food and Nutrition Responsibilities Heating and serving food prepared by the patient’s family for the patient.
● RT Feeding (only if the NA is trained for this responsibility).
● Emptying urine bags.
