We are seeking a skilled Cook to join our kitchen team. In this role, you will be responsible for performing various tasks in food preparation, cooking, and maintaining high standards of hygiene and safety within the kitchen.
- Responsible for the allocated tasks in all areas of the kitchen.
- Proper handling of food orders.
- Assist the Chef de Partie or Demi Chef de Partie in preparing and cooking of food items as per standard recipe cards whilst maintaining portion control and minimising wastage.
- Proper handling, storage and distribution of food items in accordance to hygiene standards.
- Ensure utensils, operating equipments are cleaned, stored appropriately and are in good working condition.
- Proper cleaning of work area and storing all food items at the end of the shift, in accordance to procedures.
- Ensure adequate provision of food supplies for kitchen the following day.
- Maintain high standards of quality control, hygiene, and health and safety within the kitchen.
- Cooperation in carrying out inventories.
- Aware of HACCP requirements and its application in the kitchen.
- Abides to safety instructions when operating machines and equipment.
- Behave at all times in such a way as to avoid accident.
- Help out in any area of the kitchen as assigned by head of department.
