Job Summary
The Extruder Machine Operator is responsible for the operation and maintenance of extrusion machinery to produce high-quality plastic pipes. This role requires attention to detail, technical expertise, and adherence to safety and quality standards to ensure efficient production processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Machine Operation: Operate extrusion machines to manufacture plastic pipes according to production specifications and schedules.
- Quality Control: Monitor and inspect products for defects, ensuring they meet quality standards. Perform regular checks and measurements.
- Maintenance: Conduct routine maintenance and troubleshooting of extrusion machinery. Report and coordinate repairs and servicing as necessary.
- Material Handling: Load raw materials into the machine and ensure consistent material flow throughout the production process.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate production records, including machine settings, output logs, and quality reports.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety guidelines and procedures. Use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required and ensure a clean and safe working environment.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with other operators, supervisors, and maintenance staff to optimize production efficiency and resolve any operational issues.
- Continuous Improvement: Participate in training programs and contribute to process improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and product quality.
Qualifications
- Education: 10th Pass or equivalent. Technical or vocational training in manufacturing or related field preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience operating extrusion machinery, preferably in a plastic manufacturing environment.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in machine operation, setup, and troubleshooting. Familiarity with extrusion processes and equipment.
- Attention to Detail: Strong observational skills to identify and correct defects and inconsistencies.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods and lift heavy materials as required.
- Safety Awareness: Knowledge of safety protocols and ability to adhere to them consistently.
- Communication: Good verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
