- Data input: Entering customer and account data from source documents into a computer
- Data organization: Preparing source data for entry by organizing information and prioritizing it
- Data research: Conducting research to find additional information for incomplete documents
- Data review: Reviewing data for errors and inconsistencies, and correcting any issues
- Data storage: Storing completed work in designated locations and performing regular backups
